| The Mark 2 Hercules represents a shift in the assault-fighter role. Whereas the original Hercules was a ponderous fighter with strong primary weapons and a good secondary loadout, the Mark 2 emphasises speed and manoeuvrability with a large loadout of missiles. This allows the craft to move in, destroy targets with high-yield warheads and then leave the field of engagement. Some pilots are dismayed by ammo-dependance, citing it as a liability in longer engagements. |
