One of the first military space vessels put into production, the Freighters
were essential in supplying the RDF Base established on the Moon. A simple design, it consists
of a small frame with two large compartments. Several engines are located aft on either side
of the ship, while the cramped crew compartment is at the front. Only a small crawlspace connects
the two sections for maintenance, and the cargo cannot be access in flight. As the new fleet came
into service, the freighters were used to supply the new ARMD platforms and in theory the SDF-1.
During the Zentraedi attack, the freighters were largely ignored due to their inherently low
value. The simple craft continued to be used in the reconstruction, and well into the 2020s until
it was replaced with newer ASC craft.
