Named for its agility and speed, the small Rabbit Recon shuttle entered
service several years after the Cat's Eye Reconnaissance Plane. The Rabbit was primarily
deployed with the Europa Destroyers, and provided greater battlefield awareness with
their sensor capabilities. Their agility also allowed them to safely navigate through a
debris-strewn area of space. In addition to their recon ability, the Rabbit has room for
several passengers and a small amount of cargo. It was frequently used to transfer personnel
or supplies between the Destroyers and SDF-1 or the ARMD platforms. The Rabbit remained in
service in a limited capacity until the end of 2029, with the last models being decomissioned
during the opening days of the Second Robotech War.
